Scorum is a free platform with no limitations for content creation. You can use any amount of words in a headline, upload any images, and write headlines with three exclamation marks, many dots and even emojis.

But should you really?

You will never have a second chance to make a first impression, and this is also very true for your blog post as well. The more impressive your post cover looks in the section page or in trending posts section, the more attention it will get. Headlines which are too emotional, badly formulated, clumsily drawn-up, or obviously clickbaity will just scare away potential readers.

Don't make your headline too long. It will be a shame if your main message of the headline will be lost in a post's card because of the character limit.

Don't over-use punctuation marks. A full-stop or a comma can be used in a headline. Exclamation or question marks as well as quotation marks are used only for a reason. Brackets are most often not to be used as well. Please keep in mind that whatever you put in brackets is usually perceived as not important.

And please remember that you never put a full-stop at the end of a headline.

Don't mix up a minus (-) and a dash (—). The former can be used as a hyphen, but cannot replace a dash.

Headlines written in all capital letters (using caps lock) just mean bad manners.

Too many numbers can also reduce readability of a headline.

Don't forget you need to put a space after commas, full-stops, exclamation and question marks, not before them.

Don't use abbreviations like etc., p. and so on. And it is better not to use them in texts as well. Just write it in full if you feel it needs to be there.
