Bouchi (The old lady ) game

Hello! Community,

My view is to introduce old passed folk games to the community

I have made an intention to write about folk games which actually played in the past as a part game as well as enjoyment. These were really joyful. Now a days people are passing their days with technology. But in the past these antique games were only place to enjoyment. Today I am telling about Bouchi which is the english meaning of the old lady.

How to play:

Here is the method how to play the game as follow:

Bauchhi (the old lady) is the old game which requires two courts outlined on the ground, one rectangular and the other circular, twenty-five to thirty feet apart from each other. It actually played between two teams and each team has eight to ten players. One player of the team winning the toss plays the budi (old lady) and remains inside the circle. The remaining members of the team stay inside the rectangular court.

The object of the game is for the player of the opposing team to take the 'old lady' to the rectangle, without being touched. If he or she is able to take the 'old lady' to the rectangle, the team earns a point and the players he touches become out. Variations of the game are known as budikapati, bau-basanti budir chu etc.

This game actually played mostly in Bangladesh specially in the village. Village children played it in the afternoon and got enjoyment. Besides, it played in India, Nepal, and some south asian countries.
