IN THE WILDS OF NATURE, the forest will catch on fire from dry conditions that have been struck by lightning, resulting in hundreds of acres of foliage burning to ash. That ash is rich with nutrients, and forms a layer upon the top soil that the land uses to renew itself, and thus for it to grow much healthier soil, trees, and other plants, than it did before.
Can the principle of renewal that is inherent within the natural phenomena of wildfires be applied to the dry and brittle price of SCR? Instead of the Scorum community fighting amongst itself and selling its SCR that is almost pointless to sell due to its extremely low price, will the Scorum community benefit by means of its membership (including its developers) partnering together in order to help strike the SCR blockchain with a mighty bolt of cryptolightning—effectively renewing its value as a blockchain?
Daniel Larimer of EOS developed the Steem blockchain, and in doing so he wisely made it to have an official Steem @null account that users can send their Steem to, which effectively burns that Steem, and that therefore increases the price of Steem due to its increased scarcity.
Here at Scorum, where the price of SCR has decreased to less than $0.01, it ought to be asked: If every user at Scorum were to burn 15% of their SP, then by how much will that increase the price of SCR?
IT REQUIRES 12 MONTHS for SP to be transferred to SCR. But can the developers at Scorum fork the SCR blockchain so that its users may transfer (and without there being a waiting period to do so) some of their SP to an official Scorum @null account, whereby it will immediately be burned, therefore increasing the price of their remaining SP/SCR?
Patreon has a feature whereby the funds sent from patrons to their favourite content creators are only delivered if a certain amount of funding by the Patreon community is generated. Can a similar mechanism be developed by Scorum, so that the small percentage of SP that each participating user agrees to burn will only be burned if enough other users at Scorum have also agreed to burn the same percentage of their own SP—in order for them to collectively increase the value of their remaining SP?
With the current price of SCR being less than $0.01, surely it can be calculated by our community’s math wizards (including Scorum's developers), as to how much SCR of the SCR blockchain that currently consists of 29,265,075 coins would need to be burned by the Scorum community (including Scorum) in order for its price to return to $0.25, like it was around a year ago.
IF EVERY SCORUM USER WERE TO WILLINGLY BURN 15% OF THEIR SP, by means of their sending it to an official Scorum @null account thereby increasing the price of SCR, by how much would the price of SCR increase due to its increased scarcity?
IF FACEBOOK OR ANOTHER BAD ACTOR can manipulate the price of SCR so that it is worth much less than it merits, then the Scorum community (including Scorum) can fight back by means of its collectively agreeing to burn a small percentage of their SP.
If this idea is practical, and legal, then upon incarnating it into reality, and thus with the price of SCR having its value returned to it, everybody’s remaining SP will be worth more than it was before they burned a small percentage of it. Furthermore, the bad actor will have to spend much more than they previously did if they want to keep trying to destroy the price of SCR along with the tailgating party-like fun atmosphere that all sports fans at Scorum are always welcome to help cultivate and enjoy.
If it is not the billion dollar Facebook that is the bad actor, and if the price of SCR is being decreased by the vengefulness of disgruntled users whom are not billionaires, or simply by users whom are selling their SCR for whatever legitimate reason that is not based on mindless hatred, then by collectively burning a small percentage of its SCR, the Scorum community (including Scorum) can work together in order make it too expensive for any bad actors to continue in their disgraceful attempt to decrease the price of SCR to the point where it is almost completely worthless. That can give all Scorum users a reason to stop selling their SCR which they as part of the Scorum community as a whole have helped to become valuable again.
The central bank of each country has the legal right to print or burn their fiat currency, if doing so will mathematically keep their fiat currency afloat. Likewise, cryptocurrencies are governed by their decentralized users. While this is not legal advice, it seems to me that upon voting to do so, the Scorum community (including Scorum) has the legal right to collectively burn a small percentage of their SP/SCR, by means of sending it to an official Scorum @null account where it will be unable to be accessed by anybody (including Scorum), in order for that action to thereby return the price of SCR to normal so that it can stay afloat as a valuable cryptocurrency.
Thus, the Scorum blogging website will be able to remain online and its blogging community will be able to continue becoming much more than before a place that is vibrant and vigorous in its civilized discussions and debates about sports and other important topics related to the Scorum community. Birds will chirp again! Deer will frolic, beavers will swim, dragonflies will fly, and lions will roar! New life will return to the forest of Scorum, once again! The Smurfs in their newly sprouted mushroom huts will dance and sing!
Right now, my SP is worth less than $10 USD. If my agreeing to burn 15% of that will cause my remaining SP to be worth more than $10 USD, then I agree to do so, provided that enough other members of the Scorum community (including Scorum itself) agree to do so, too, regarding their own SP, and if their doing so too will also cause their remaining SP to be worth more than it was before. The Scorum developers implementing into the SCR blockchain a Patreon-like feature (as mentioned in a previous paragraph of this article) will ensure that no participant will burn any of their SP needlessly, and thus that every participant will benefit from their being a part of this group effort to return the price of SCR to being valuable and quite possibly to what it was around one year ago ($0.25).
If the math shows that this idea of our collectively acting as responsible forest rangers in order to have a controlled cryptofire that burns a small percentage of each participating user's SP in order to renew the value of SCR, and if Scorum's developers will fork the SCR blockchain so that it has an official Scorum @null account that users can immediately send a small amount of their SP to for it to be burned, along with Scorum's developers building a Patreon-like feature so that not one participant will lose and every participant will win, will you agree to burn a small percentage of your SP, too?
