As more and more new sports fans join the growing community here at Scorum, we’ve seen quite a few questions in the community chats about how to convert between SCR and SP and how to get more SCR. To give everyone a clear point to reference from, we’ve put together the following easy guide to using the Scorum Wallet.

SCR → SP conversion

To start, select ‘convert’ in the box on the right side of wallet and specify the number of SCR you want to convert to SP and submit it with a green “Convert” button. You will be asked to confirm this conversion in a pop-up window. This conversion is instantaneous. 

SP → SCR conversion

SP → SCR conversion is also available in the wallet and works on the same principle but takes much longer to complete.

In the box on the right, click "Convert" and switch the direction of conversion to SP → SCR.

Do not forget that the conversion process will take 12 months, or 52 weeks and there can be only one active conversion. During this period 1/52 of the amount claimed for conversion will be converted weekly.

You can track conversions right in your wallet. Click "Conversions" under the balance section and select which conversions you want to see: SCR into SP or SP into SCR.

You can see how much SCR will be paid weekly, when the next one will be converted, and also how much SP has already been changed.

Important: there can be only one active conversion. If you start a new one — previous one will be automatically stoped. 

Purchase SCR for ETH in your wallet and blog

With the latest update, users can now buy SCR for ETH in the Scorum Wallet and on the blogging platform. In the future, we are going to open fiat purchases as well.

Buying in the wallet

In the box on the right, in the “receive” section you can find "Buy SCR" button, press it and choose a payment method (currently only ETH purchase is available).

Then enter the amount of ETH you would like to trade for SCR or the amount of SCR you would like to receive. The price and trading rate at the moment will be calculated automatically.

Copy the address ETH address, and make the transfer from your preferred ETH wallet.

After successful processing of the transaction, your Scorum wallet will be credited with the SCR tokens. Note: the exact exchange rate will be calculated at the time of exchange and may vary from the estimation shown.

Buying on the blog

In order to buy SCR through the blog platform, just click on the green SCR icon at the top right corner of the screen. There you will see the blue "Buy SCR" button. Click on it and follow the same steps as above: select the payment method, copy the address and transfer from your preferred ETH wallet.
