Just half a month has passed since the first Scorum update and we are happy to announce the second round today. This update include 30 corrected bugs – correct post order in your profile, for example – and more than 20 small improvements or completely new features. You’ll see changes in the notification feed, improved layout of wide cards, VIP stars for 1000+ SP owners and much more.

SP to SCR conversion 

Now Scorum users can convert their SP rewards into the external cryptocurrency – SCR.

 SP>SCR conversion takes 12 months to complete. This was made in order to protect the Scorum ecosystem. The amount of SP that you decide to convert will be divided by 52 weeks and the SP balance on your account will be decreased by this small amount each week. So for example, if you decide to convert 52 SP into SCR each week your SP will decrease by 1 and SCR balance increase by 1.

New Language Domains 

While Scorum Wallet was available on more than 25 languages from the very beginning — the sports media platform language domains are being added gradually. Starting today, sports fans from Turkey and India will enjoy their own domains on Scorum. New domains are scorum.tс and scorum.in. We believe this will have positive effects on the Scorum audience growth.

Since the number of users and posts is growing quickly on Scorum, there is a need to keep improving navigation around the site. Therefore, now under each post you read you will see a “You may also like” section that shows you posts with similar tags.

Also, website users will now be forbidden from upvoting their own comments. This will improve the system of rewards distribution. 

Auto follow

If the person starts registration process from someone's post — after the registration he will automatically follow the author of the post.


Apart from the Blog platform updates, in July we had some important news about the general project development.

E-gaming license 

Now Scorum Holds an eGaming license from Curacao which will allow us to legally launch the Betting Exchange in most countries in the world just a few exceptions (United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France.) Curacao was the first to offer a broad single e-gaming license that covers all types of online gambling and sports betting under one license. The eGaming license is a key step towards the launch of the Scorum Bet peer-2-peer betting exchange that features zero-commision wagers in SCR tokens.
