The ESPY Awards (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) is the Grammys/Oscars of the sports world. ESPN's annual award ceremony celebrating all this sports. This years ceremony took place July 18th 2018 in Los Angeles, CA and hosted by American Race Car Driver Danica Patrick the first woman to ever host the award ceremony.

Best College Athlete: Baker Mayfield, American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League who won the Heisman Trophy at Oklahoma before being selected No. 1 overall in the NFL draft.
Best Female Athlete: Chloe Kim, Olympic gold medal-winning snowboarder Chloe Kim, she became the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding medal when she won gold in the women’s snowboard halfpipe at the age of 17 year

Best Male Athlete: Alex Ovechkin, Russian professional ice hockey winger and captain of the Washington Capitals, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP as the Washington Capitals won their first Stanley Cup.

Best Team: Houston Astros, who beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games to win the World Series for the first time.
Best Game: The U.S. women's national hockey team's shootout victory over Canada in the gold medal game of the Pyeongchang Olympics.
Best Championship Performance: Nick Foles, who won Super Bowl MVP in quarterbacking the Philadelphia Eagles to their first Lombardi Trophy.
Best Moment: The Minnesota Vikings' miracle win on Stefon Diggs' touchdown in the final seconds of their divisional round game against the New Orleans Saints.
Best Male Olympian: Shaun White, American professional snowboarder, skateboarder and musician
Best Olympic Moment: Shaun White's gold medal-winning final run in Pyeongchang.
Best Play: Arike Ogunbowale's buzzer-beater to win the national championship for Notre Dame.
Best Male Tennis Player: Roger Federer, Swiss professional tennis player who made history in winning an eighth Wimbledon title in 2017 and won the 2018 Australian Open for his 20th Grand Slam title.
Best Record-Breaking Performance: Roger Federer.
Best International Men's Soccer Player: Cristiano Ronaldo professional footballer who plays as a forward for Italian club Juventus and the Portuguese national team.
Best International Women's Soccer Player: Sam Kerr Austalian Soccer forward who plays for Australia women's national football team, Perth Glory in the Australian W-League, and Chicago Red Stars in the United States' National Women's Soccer League.
Best NFL Player: Tom Brady American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League
Best MLB player: Mike Trout American professional baseball center fielder for the Los Angeles Angels of MLB [Major League Baseball]
Best Driver: Martin Truex Jr, American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 78 Toyota Camry for Furniture Row Racing
Best NBA Player: LeBron James, 4 time MVP American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.
Best WNBA Player: Maya Moore, American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA [Women's National Basketball Association]
Best Fighter: Terence Crawford, American professional boxer. He is a world champion in three weight classes, having held the WBO welterweight title since June 2018.
Best Male Golfer: Jordan Spieth, American professional golfer on the PGA Tour and former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Best Female Golfer: Sung-Hyun Park, also known as Sung Hyun Park, is a South Korean professional golfer playing on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. In July 2017, she won the U.S. Women's Open, an LPGA major.
Best Female Tennis Player: Sloane Stephens American professional tennis player. She achieved a career-best Women's Tennis Association ranking of No. 3 in the world in the summer of 2018. Stephens is the reigning US Open champion, and has won six WTA titles in total.
Best Male Action Sports Athlete: David Wise, American freestyle skier, two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time X Games Gold Medalist
Best Jockey: Jose Ortiz, American jockey who has been a rider on the New York Thoroughbred horse racing circuit since 2012.
Best Male Athlete with a Disability: Mike Schultz, Paralympic snowboarder. He was the flag-bearer for the United States at the 2018 Winter Paralympics Parade of Nations. He lost his leg in 2008 in a snow mobile race
Best Female Athlete with a Disability: Brenna Huckaby, American snowboarder. She competed at the 2018 Winter Paralympics, winning gold medals in the snowboard cross and banked slalom.
Best Bowler: Rhino Page, left-handed bowler on the Professional Bowlers Association Tour, and was the 2008 PBA Rookie of the Year.
Best MLS Player: Nemanja Nikolic, Yugoslavian-born Hungarian footballer who plays as a striker for Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire
Best NWSL Player: Megan Rapinoe, American professional soccer midfielder/winger who plays for Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League
Capital One Cup: Stanford Cardinal sports, the athletic teams that represent Stanford University. Stanford's program has won 117 NCAA team championships
