Some of us have already had the probably very uplifting experience of finding out what it feels like to get a full upvote from a really big Scorum stake holder.

A few users here at Scorum have invested quite a bit in a really full wallet and if they decided to give one of your articles a 100% upvote, the post reward would suddenly make really big jumps.

Last night I thought that somebody finally wanted to give me a belated Christmas surprise. It was already late at night when I submitted my article about the first round of this Bundesliga season, but for a good while not so much happened.

Until I suddenly found out that I had received an upvote from a Scorum user who was completely unknown to me until then.

And this user has actually over 113k SP in his wallet and left me a full vote.

I have to admit that I got pretty excited all of a sudden, but somehow this vote didn't affect my post reward at all. I had noticed before that sometimes it can take a few minutes for the reward to change and I was speculating on that to happen now as well.

And as I could see in the Scorum feed, some other users too got a fat vote from that @scr4ever and suddenly their post reward was way over 100 SCR. But still nothing happened to me.

The excitement changed into getting kinda nervous and I tried to figure out what was going on. I contacted our very helpful developer team in the Telegram chat which then started to look into the matter. Additionally I asked in the "I am Scorum" Discord channel if someone might have an idea there as well. Surely I didn't want to miss this nice upvote present.

But as it turned out, @scr4ever has just powered up his wallet last night and around that time he also started to upvote several articles. And two upvotes were made at the time when he only had 5 SP of his wallet, and unfortunately my contribution was part of it.

Most of the entries were voted after the power up with more than 113k SP, and @scr4ever was really generous and supported quite a few writers last night.

He even re-voted on the other article which he voted before powering up, but unfortunately he didn't come back to my post. So at that moment my post's reward was not 100 SCR as I had dreamed about but instead whooping 0.01 SCR. - Boom!

Probably @scr4ever simply overlooked the fact that he needed big SP first in order to be able to give really fat votes, and maybe that's why my contribution was rated too early in the end.

Of course I was a bit disappointed in this moment, after I had been so excited before. But in the end several other Scorum readers have read my article and apparently considered it not so bad.

The whole thing was probably once again a lesson of life, according to the motto:

Sometimes you lose, and the other days the others win.

Yeah..so close, but no cigar! "Unlucky" could be my second name!

However I am also grateful that he at least considered my article to be worth such a big vote too and who knows, he might come back some other day to check out some of my other posts.

And good to see that there are big stake holders who are looking out for worthy articles here on Scorum and are up to rewarding them big times. That's what we need to eventually attract more people joining and taking on the challenge of writing quality blogs about the world of sport.

Therefor I am hoping to expand the Scorum Patronage and to take it up to the next level.

Stay tuned Scorum,

Love and Respect!
