This question is not as easy to answer as you might think and some people will think about it very differently as most users on Scorum do.

Of course Steemit is much more advanced, in a positive as well as in a very negative way. Especially the last year has brought a lot of developments that most users don't really like. I simply say just one irritating word: Bots !

More and more users have already turned their backs on Steemit and at the moment there is a little uproar in the German community over there, which has led to the fact that some members have now publicly declared that they will stop writing on Steemit.

We are not that far yet at Scorum and both the community and the platform are still in their infancy. Or maybe already in puberty, because at some places at Socrum things are getting a little rough-ish between some of our members. But until now this has mostly led to some constructive dialogue or simply to the awareness that we don't always agree with each other, but can somehow live with that fact.

There is potential in both platforms, but the developers at Steemit must finally deliver what they have been promising for ages. If the SmartMediaTokens are not launched soon, this will probably lead to even more users turning their backs on Steemit. Ned and his team's behavior doesn't really help to inspire confidence in the future either.

Scorum so far hasn't gone there yet

So far almost everything that had been promised was delivered and one of the biggest advantages over Steemit is the functioning interaction with the developing team. In their telegram chat we really get help, they are quick to respond to all problems and questions about the platform and even the Scorum community tries to help each other.

And in particular Betscorum.com, the sports betting site which was launched in time at the end of last year, will hopefully become a real driving force and magnet to draw new members and contribute to the great success of the Scorum platform and the Scorum coin.

When it comes to blogging, Steemit of course has the advantage of being more diverse and not limited to only sports. For this reason, in the future too the Scorum community will continue to have mainly male members. And as I just said, the topic of sports betting could prove to be a real attraction for new users, but here again I'm doubtful that actually so many women will really jump on this bandwagon. More than before I am wondering these days how things will turn out here in a few years.

Sport is not just football, the subject can cover so much more. Under the English domain there are also many articles about computer gaming, which could inspire many young bloggers. And also everything that revolves around fitness has its place here at Scorum and should be presented appropriately.

The German domain at Scorum

Everyone who has been checking checking out my blog and my profile should have noticed that my mother tongue is actually German and that I am writing and posting in two languages, English and German. Of course the articles in my native language won't usually find many readers or cause much attention, since the German domain Scorum.de is still in its very infancy.

But I am promoting Scorum.de everywhere and I am trying to convince everyone of the huge and unlimited potential we have. Until now we are still able to enjoy a huge creative space and all the freedoms that a new and exiting platform can offer.

It is still quite unclear in which direction the Scorum platform or the individual domains will eventually drift. Maybe in the end Scorum will become a pure nerd site where only all the sports and betting enthusiasts will hang out. I myself hope that we'll be able to create a much more diverse place for everybody. When I started at Scorum three months ago, I didn't expect to have so much fun here myself. At Steemit I have dealt in my blog with a whole range of topics, therefor at first I didn't even know if I had enough to say or better to write about sports.

But my own Scorum blog speaks its own language.

I post daily and last year I started my own little initiative to actively support new users who haven't yet received the attention they deserve.

And under this Scorum Patronage I would also love to cover the German community.

If someone is finally ready to write in German again and comes up with some quality articles.

When I started here, there were still a few more users (e.g. @sportsgeek) who used ans posted in my beautiful native language, but at the moment I am the only one to keep this place somehow alive.

I have tried several times to promote Scorum and to bring more German speaking bloggers here. Unfortunately without success so far, but I just started another attempt on Steemit yesterday to draw attention and new members over here to Scorum, to our creative community and to our great potential.

I am more than willing to support and help building the German community with my upvotes. Therefore the continued call to all German-speaking bloggers here at Scorum and in the whole world to write under the Scorum.de domain.

However let us keep in mind that our priority should be be having a good time and meeting great people. No need to feel any pressure, everybody please discover this place at your own pace and enjoy everything this creative platform has to offer.

I hope to catch your all very soon, in the English-speaking domain but hopefully also in our very soon thriving German community!

Love and Respect !
