Happy Sunday Scorum!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Here in the Far East we are getting flooded right now. We are in the middle of the rainy season and the last couple of days have been extremely wet. Unfortunately that means we are kinda forced to spend more times inside than we actually want to, at this time of the year. Usually I am at the beach, my favorite place, so hopefully I will get that chance very soon. I haven't been in the waters once yet this year, somehow it feels pretty wrong though.
However, it is Sunday and I am here to announce the winner of this week's Scorum Patronage. Big thanks go out to everyone who has been supporting me and my little initiative, I really appreciate this form of encouragement.
What is Scorum Patronage?
My idea behind Scorum Patronage is to assist and promote other writers to get their articles seen by the the rest of the Scorum community. We all had that experience before and know that blogging can be tough, so it is important to stay motivated.
That is the reason why I want to check out and read all posts of the "choice of the community" for a whole week.
You can find this round's announcement by following this link:
Let's get back to the nominations. I always come up with the same, very simple question:
Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a week?
This week we got two nominations, thanks to @jon.bonomo and @herbaycity. I will leave some nice upvotes on your comments as well. It is great to see you joining our nominations on a rather frequent basis.
After checking the profiles of our two nominees I noticed that one of them, @team.corner, hast joined here just this week and so far only made their introduction post. The other nominee, @sportsarmor, has been active here for a few weeks and is posting on Scorum frequently.
Also taking into account that @team.corner's introduction post was rewarded a couple of times higher than all of @sportsarmor posts together I decided to give this round's Scorum Patronage to the latter one.
First I want to see that @team.corner is really starting to create their own posts here on Scorum, then I will be more than happy to support them as well. And since @sportarmor has been quite active here recently I would like him to take on the challenge and eventually get some more attention with his sports blogs.
Therefor... congrats to @sportarmor!
I will start upvoting from Monday and also leave @sportsarmor a comment telling him that he will be assisted by Scorum Patronage this coming week. Hopefully he will be able to find some new readers for his blogs and feels encouraged to provide us with some more quality posts.
When upvoting through Scorum Patronage I am ready to use up to 100 % of my voting power, however this really depends on the quality of each post. And just to keep everyone focused, I am still aware of some ongoing abuse here on Scorum and I had to deal with some cases here at Scorum Patronage as well. As soon as I notice that some beneficiary won't stick to some certain quality level I strictly reserve me the right to refuse my vote and even to cancel my support at all.
Some last words...
It seems the upward movement of the crypto market could be a lasting one, even though Bitcoin is still completely dominating the whole business. Let's see if now is the time for a healthy consolidation or if we go even higher during the next month.
And how great would it if the whole market could benefit too, and take some more coins out of their time of hibernation. It always seems it's only the coins I am not holding, which suddenly start to rally, and the ones I am cheering for are rather performing pretty poor.
Like Scorum Coin which I cheer for the most and which has been a huge disappointment to almost everybody. But what am I talking , this story has been told many times before.
However, this will not stop me from running this initiative. We just finished the first half of 2019 and I am sure I will be here the next 26 weeks as well. And since Scorum is a long-term investment I am hoping to continue running Scorum Patronage as long as possible.
But this post is not about me, it is about some new writers whose talent and skills we want to discover. It would be nice if everyone could check out this week's beneficiary and see what he has to say. Leave him a comment of encouragement, we all know that some motivating words can go a long way.
I will catch you guys in a few days when I open the next round to invite you to share some more nominations.
You can also find the latest announcements and the profiles of all the former beneficiaries. Feel free to join building a place were people share ideas about how to support other community member's grow and how to make the Scorum platform a huge success.
Catch all you guys soon...
