Hello Scorum!
What's going on today, on this lovely Sunday which brought us such gorgeous weather, nobody could have imagined. Actually the whole weekend was just great, temperatures around 20 degrees in late November is something really unusual in this part of the world. Especially if you take in account that last week was rather cold and wet and then suddenly we got this two cheerful days. Sure I took this chance and went out on both days, taking the family to some local parks to spend some time outside. It might was the last opportunity this year to roam free, the colder days are clearly coming back next week. And December is just around the corner, today in one week the last month of this rollercoaster-like year will have already started.
And I am still hanging in with my Scorum Patronage initiative which has been running for already over one year. So far I was able to stick to my commitment of running a new round in any given week and I am quite positive I can hold on till the year finishes.
And like on every Sunday this year I am hear to announce our next Scorum Patronage beneficiary. As always let my first say thank you the everyone who has supported me and who has joined the nominations. Without you guys I wouldn't have come so far.
What is Scorum Patronage?
The idea behind Scorum Patronage is to accompany some different writer every week to help him to fins some exposure and to get out into the Scorum spotlight. Getting noticed can be tough so I am sure a helping hand can always be useful.
You can find this round's announcement by following this link:
Let's get back to the nominations. I always come up with the same, very simple question:
Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a week?
This week we had only one nomination, thanks to the @dexpartacus for not letting me down. I will send you some nice upvote on your nomination comment.
And only one nomination makes things much easier. After checking and accepting our candidate I hereby declare our new beneficiary.
Congrats go out to @takeaways!
He has joined Scorum last month and since then taken on the challenge of writing some sport blogs. I hope my support will encourage him to take up writing now full scale and to provide us with some more quality posts.
I will start upvoting our winner from tomorrow and also leave our winners a message telling them that they will be assisted by Scorum Patronage.
As always I am planning to vote with up to 100% of my voting power, but of course it all depends on quality and quantity. And in case I am sensing any scent of copy and past posts, or stolen content I reserve myself the right to not vote at all. But hey, I am always positive that we are getting some great content this week.
That's why I am looking forward to some great articles and to get to know some different Scorum blogger this week.
Some last words...
It has been quite a pleasure to follow the German Bundesliga. My favorite team Union Berlin was promoted into the highest German football league for the very first time and since then had quite a few moments to celebrate their being. Yesterday the welcomed the table leader from Mönchengladbach at the "Stadion an de Alten Försterei". And after a tough and intense game the kept another three points at home in Berlin, so far Union could already collect 16 points this season, something no one would have foreseen for this points of the season. Actually Union won the last three games, that's an enormous streak for the newcomer and underdog from the Southeast of Berlin. And this week they have already beaten quite some names, like Borussia Dortmund!! And for most fans most important was the victory against Hertha BSC in the city duel a few weeks ago which was probably the most important games in the first leg of this season. Now Union can call themselves "Berliner Meister", some unofficial but pretty prestigious title nobody can take away anymore.
Sure the season is still long and for sure some tough days and week will come but if the somehow can keep up with that performance they will have a realistic chance to avoid relegation and and stay in Bundesliga for another year. But hey, in Berlin-Köpenick people are used to live in present and enjoy the moment. Too soon things could change and bring different and tougher times again. Something Union Berlin has experienced on several occasions in their long history between the leagues. Therefor all what needs to be said is congrats to yesterday's win and I assume it could have been a longer night in many pubs and bars in that area. Cheers and salute, "Eisern Union"!
Alright, that is all for today, I am wishing all of you a great rest of the day and a week full of exciting tasks and encouraging challenges.
Feel free to leave me some comments or critics, since I am still planning on improving my initiative. Just hook me up with your thoughts.
Catch all you guys soon...
