A few days ago I came with this post by scorum officials itself for listing the new sports entries on ScorumBet. @civilstudy update me about the same and we have discussed in the past about it before that how important is this for ScorumBet. ScorumBet is a platform for sports-betting and as of now, I can see soccer listed on it. Pardon me, I am not a big fan of soccer and I don't even know anything much about this sport-game. I know about Cricket really well and about 2 Billions+ people on earth too. I am eager to see Cricket listed on the betting platform. Around 90% population of countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh are really interested in Cricket. But why I am making this point? Why I am showing you these insights of cricket?
This is not just limited to some insight or info, this is a big door that Scorum will be going to open for 2 Billion+ audiences. I commented on the official post to support cricket and this is also because Cricket is the second most played game on the earth so ignoring it or post-ponding for future directly means that we are missing a golden opportunity to get more attention, more value and more content on the scorum itself. While reading the comments I found many people arguing over cricket and other sports. This is an unbiased post because I am putting the stuff which I feel. No doubts that American games are good and are all ready to be get listed, still as I said opportunities don't knock one's door, overlooking on this will snatch away a good chance from us. Mega-events are about to come up and we still have enough time to get listed.
@jon.bonomo did point that Cricket is not even on trending, I think it's not about trending or not. Trending has its own algorithm designed and it mostly depends on the upvotes that a post gets similar on Steemit. Things must not be mixed. Again it's good to see that people are engaging over stuff.
@talesfrmcrypt did also point some info on Cricket and why it must be listed. Again it depends on the officials to make a concrete decision out of this discussion.
What if not listed?
As I said before I am unbiased on this topic and not want to even favor cricket but it is what I feel and think. Again, in the end, sports will win and scorum will glorify. I will not be going to miss this chance.
