International Istanbul Water Sports Festival (WATERFEST) will take place in Maltepe Orhangazi Şehir Parki on 8-9 September in cooperation with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Spor Istanbul, Youth and Sport Directorate and six sports federations. This year's the Event will be held for the first time in the international level. The International Istanbul Sports Festival, to be held on the area of 40 thousand square meters, will host both professional athletes and 250.000 sports fans.
As for athletes of the Event, a total of 2650 athletes who 130 of them are foreign will participate in the swimming dragon boat race, water polo, water polo, fly board, sailing, rowing and underwater races. The promotion and the love of water sports will be engrained in the recreational and entertainment areas of the festival on land and sea.
The aim of the International Istanbul Water Sports Festival will be to introduce brand city of Istanbul to the whole world. We aim also to show thanks to the festival where the athletes and fans participating in the event will be able to spend time during the festival with extreme water sports performances, competitions, concerts, live music shows, other stage activities as well as sea and land activities.

The race course will be 1.500 meters length.

FLYBOARD TURKEY CHAMPIONSHIP
The Flyboard was invented in Autumn 2012 by a French water-craft rider, Franky Zapata. The design allows the device to climb out of the water and be stable in the air. This was achieved by the underfoot propulsion and hand stabilization. The Flyboard was the subject of a lawsuit from competitor Jetlev which was dropped without prejudice in March 2013. The device was presented to the public for the first time at the jet ski World Championship 2012 in China. Since its introduction in 2012 the Flyboard has sold around 2500 units.
A Flyboard is a brand of hydroflighting device which supplies propulsion to drive the Flyboard into the air to perform a sport known as hydroflying. The rider stands on a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. Water is forced under pressure to a pair of boots with jet nozzles underneath which provide thrust for the rider to fly up to 15 m (49 ft) in the air or to dive headlong through the water down to 2.5 m.
ROWING RACES
Rowing is an endurance and power sport. It can go up to 10 meters in a second. 40 times per minute at 1000 meters and 47 times at first and last 500 meters.
In rowing, the rowers paddle in the opposite direction. Also, the shovels that is used in the rowing are connected to the shaft.
The rowing sport is held on a straight line and without waves. In fact, it is not the rule that boats go straight on the line. Since the shortest path between the two points is correct, the rowers prefer to proceed on a straight line.
WATER PADDLE RACES
Master Sportspeople, children and disabled sportspeople will compete in the Stream Line Position with 1,500 m with the dolphin movements on the water with Snorkel and Single Pallet.
