I couldn't believe when I checked the odds on Warinka Monday morning against Britain's Cameron Norrie at Queens. Granted Stan has had a pretty lousy season so far but he's a three time grand slam winner and possesses lethal power to blow anyone off the court when he's on top form. Here he was playing a very young British player who for me isn't anything particularly special compared to the likes of Kyle Edmund. Yet the odds were in 33/50 for Warinka to win. Very tasty indeed.

Of course Big Stan did blow Norrie away in two sets and he hit some pretty special winners too.

He is obviously a danger now to anyone at Queens simply given that one performance so everyone needs to watch out for him. Yet I am still sticking with Djokovic to lift the Queens trophy this year.

I would love to see a re-run of the French Open or US Open finals between the two of them, both of which Stan won by the way! Two complete contrasting styles at work. If Stan can get some consistency going with a few more wins at Queens he's a welcome edition to the Wimbledon line up and would prove hard for most players to overcome in 5 sets. Coincidentally Wimbledon is the only slam he hasn't claimed to his name yet, could that be a sign in the stars? It would certainly take a lot for him to overcome what I believe to be one of the strongest Wimbledon lineup's we have had in many years.

I thought I would include below a compilation of some of Stan's winners over the years, just so you can see how powerful this guy is and how sometimes he undeservedly plays second fiddle to Federer in the limelight. For me there's no other player ever who has hit the backhand as powerfully and impressively as Warinka, not even Federer. Obviously Federer is more consistent and accurate at times but when Stan is in full throttle his backhand is above Federer's. Don't believe me? Watch below!
