Sixth-seeded German Alexander Zverev was knocked out of the final of the US Open, the last major tennis tournament, by defeating Argentine Diego Schwarzman 6-3, 2-6, 4-6, 3-6 on Monday.

Zverev suffered physically because of his marathon matches in the first three rounds, where he needed 3 hours and 10 minutes to overcome the obstacle of Moldovan Radu Albot in the first, and 3 hours and 9 minutes to beat the American Francis Tiavoi in the second, and 3 hours and 36 minutes to get rid of the obstacle Slovenian Aliaz Bedini in the third, The encounter with Schwarzman took 3 hours and 8 minutes.
