World No 1 Rafael Nadal on Sunday withdrew from ATP Cincinnati Masters event as he prepares for the US Open.

Nadal's withdrawal leaves Djokovic a great chance to win this trophy. If we look at the ATP race to London, we will find out that it is possible that one of the greatest tennis players of all time can become No 1, by the end of autumn of this year.

Singles Race Rankings as of 13 August 2018

Three more ATP 1000 masters series tournaments remained to be played till the end of season - Cincinnati W&S Open, Shanghai and Paris masters, plus 1500 ATP World Tour Finals. Probably both players will participate in one ATP 500 series tournament. The best opportunity to win a large number of points is the last Grand Slam of the season US Open. Winner gets 2000 points and a finalist 1200 points.

Novak Djokovic ends World No 1 path

Giant DjokerNole is again on his top playing form and he returned his self-confidence achieving a victory against life form competitor Kevin Anderson and winning the most important tournament in Tennis history - Wimbledon. He said that it is the best way for comeback after two long breaks. Taking into account that Novak is at the peak again, why he couldn't win all three 1000 series masters? Service is his new weapon now, forehand is solid, backhand is very strong, and his return is perhaps the best of all time. He never raised a trophy in Ohio and this is his best chance to do it while Nadal is absent. My opinion is that the best way to prepare for big event such as US Open is by winning tournaments. If Nole win trophy in Cincinnati, it will boost his morale to maximum, and then knowing Djokovic, nothing can stop him from combining all tournaments until the end of the season. Current difference between Novak and Rafa is 3315 points. For example: If Nole wins all the remaining tours which would bring him 7000 points, then at the end of season he would have 10315 points. It is very hard to believe that he can accomplish that, but considering what he did in 2015. nothing is impossible. In this case, although Nadal reaches all the finals (not including Cincinnati), the total number of his points will eventually be 10260. I also have to mention that Nadal never won trophy in Shanghai, Paris and London and it's undoubtedly that he has a huge motivation to win all three trophies. Everything is possible, but it is evident that a great battle will take place.

These two met 52 times with Djokovic leading 27-25. The first meeting between the two was in 2006 at the French Open in the Quarterfinals and victory went to Nadal. Their last match was played this year on Wimbledon, however Djokovic managed to win this match lasting over 5 hours.

Both will struggle hard ''that's the sport and that's the real thing''  how Rafa said on conference after his loss to Djokovic at Wimbledon. Whoever of these two be the No 1 at the end i will be glad because i thing that the two of them are the best people in the world of Tennis. Wish them both luck.

This is my first post and i hope you will like it and accept me here on Scorum.
