Hello! Friends,
Some of us may not know what Wimbledon tournament is, it was during my engagement with watching tennis I was able to follow up the tournament called Wimbledon. In the history of Tennis, Wimbledon Tournament is the most prestigious and the oldest tennis tournament in the world. There is four Grand slam in Tennis which are Wimbledon, Australian Open, French Open, and US Open. At the moment the only tournament played on grass after the Australian Open was moved to the hardcourt.
Recently, this year Wimbledon Tournament for both Gentlemen's Single and Ladies' Single was concluded. For Ladies' Single, Simona Halep defeated Serena Williams as Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer and this is my major point of discussion today.
The game between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer was a great game, but again, it is very hard believing that Djokovic will defeat Federer after world no. 3 has every opportunity to win the game. The game was the longest in the history of the Wimbledon tournament as it took close to 5 hours to finish the game. The final between Roger Federer and Nadal in 2008 which was the most popular game was recorded as the longest, but this year final break that record and the announcement of 12-12 fifth set tie break that was introduced after a long semi-finals game between Kevin Anderson and John Isner in 2018 was experienced in Wimbledon Tournament Finals between Federer and Djokovic to tell you how tough the game was.
The defeat that Federer experienced this year would have earned him the oldest player to win the men's singles, Grand Slam in the Open Era and also clears the Martina Navratilova's record, but Djokovic stops him to earn his 16th major title and 5th Wimbledon final claim with £2,350,000. As is it now, Djokovic has only 4 titles to be on the same claim with Federer, who has 20 Slam haul as against the 16 major titles he has but he is still the No. 1 man in the world of men's single Tennis and the greatest in Wimbledon Tournament.
As it now, though Federer has always been the British darling and lover both of them receive warm greetings as they arrived but the crowd shouted Roger we are expecting you to rain down Centre Court today unfortunate he was defeated and I doubt if the 37 years old Federer will record another title to secure his 21st title following his age at the moment.
Djokovic with his present title is considered as the greatest of all times. (GOAT).
As Djokovic build the record with Nadal, Ken Rosewall, Federer, and Rod Laver as most celebrated and decorated men in the world of Tennis at their 30s, Who do you think will end up as most grand slam title? Is it Djokovic, Nadal or Federer?
