Their game was the opening match of the said volleyball cup. Rachel Rourke from Australia lead the team to won the game with a total score of 33 points.

Many people feel disappointed to Filipina Spikers because they didn't finish and win the game even though they have a two sets advantage. The Filipina Spikers dominated the first and second set with a score of 21-25 both sets. So they have a 2 sets lead and can sweep the match on 3rd set.

The 3rd set was the most amazing set in the match. Australia started the 3rd set with a 6 points lead until it was tied to 24. Then Rachel Rourke made 2 consecutive points to end the set. On the last 2 sets, the tempo was changed and Australia dominated the match and end the last sets with a score of 16-25 in the 4th set and 10-15 in the 5th set.

Currently, the Australia has 2 wins and 1 loss while the Philippines has 1 win and 2 losses. The next game will be on September 21 for the playoffs match and the finals will be on September 23 at the Korat Chathai Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand.
