The beach volleyball branch at the 2018 Asian Games has entered the semifinal stage. Indonesian teams must be willing to face each other in this round and eliminate the opportunity to get gold and silver together.

In the match which was held later this afternoon around 3 pm, Indonesian representative Ade Candra Rachmawan-Mohammad Ashfiya will face Gilang Ramadhan-Yudistira Pribadi Danangsyah.

Both must beat each other to enter the final of the gold medal race. The rest will compete in the bronze medal race.

This is a bit unfortunate because Indonesia managed to send two representatives to the semifinals, in contrast to other countries. In the rock climbing branch a few days ago, this did not happen. Indonesian representatives were separated in the semifinals and opened up gold and silver monopoly opportunities.

The good news is that Indonesia will certainly get at least a silver medal from the men's doubles.

In addition to the men's doubles, other opportunities are open from the women's doubles. Indonesian partner Dhita Juliana-Putu Dini Jasita Utami will meet China in the semifinals. This opens Indonesia's hopes for medals from beach volleyball. Though beach volleyball was initially targeted only at silver medals, or at least bronze by Kemenpora.
