These posts contain previews on matches from the Belgian League with some on my personal bets, live-betting angles, Team Form, Injuries and Team News.

Solid start of the Weekend yesterday with Moeskroen winning at home against an uninspired Charleroi in a match that was again low in corners. Live betting worked out quite well even though I'm still keeping my stakes on the conservative side. As always, 4 more League Matches on Saturday...

Oostende vs Antwerp

Oostende remains one of the most consistent teams when it comes down to giving away a lead. They played their best half of the season in the cup semi-final at home against AA Gent and were up 2-0 deserved but again gave it away and lost after penalties. They lost 4 out of their last 5 league matches and managed to get 1 draw and are 9 points clear of the last place. If anything right now, for them it's about being mathematically sure to stay in the league. Antwerp is inside the top 6 and are the best away team in the league going 9W-2L against the Asian closing lines with most matches going under the Asian Total line (7W-3.5L-0.5P with 2.09 goal average). I see this as one of those matches where the home team would sign for a point and can't see them overly taking risks on the offensive side. Tom De Sutter who played horribly for Lokeren became one of their more important players and will likely be out for this match. Striker Mbokani vs Antwerp will be suspended. I'm leaning toward the under, but I'm not sure about the best option to take so I've split my stakes between Oostende Team Total Under 1 @ 1.833 | 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.03 & Under 2.5 @ 1.96. As always, I won't shy away from closing these positions if the match picture proves me wrong. The Under in corners will also be something that I'll look for if Antwerp takes the lead. If this happens early on I might also take some extra on the under 3 line or higher. I will also be keeping an eye on betting Antwerp Live if they show to be the better team or if they fall behind.

Kortrijk vs Lokeren

Kortrijk is in a position where they have pretty much nothing to play for, safe from the bottom and without much hope for a top 6 place. Many players were busy with a transfer and their sharpness might not be as high right now. Lokeren is hopelessly last and has shown an overall lack of quality. They are on my fade list but I would not be surprised if this lack of hope somehow took away all the nerves making them play better. If they want a chance to stay in the league they need to go for 3 points at all cost. The bet I will look out for is a 2nd half over in case the match is a draw or if Kortrijk has a 1 goal lead. Both a comeback and a collapse are possibilities. No Pre-game Bets

Zulte-Waregem vs Cercle Brugge

I am liking Zulte-Waregem after their win last week pretty much knocking out direct opponent Lokeren. They still are not mathematically sure to stay in the league though and reaching that will be their main point of focus. Cercle Brugge is just 3 points ahead of them. Zulte-Waregem has shown a lot of progression and Players like Peeters and Seck bring a lot more stability. Cercle Brugge Played a poor match last week at home against Stvv. Taravel will be back for this match , but Lambot will still be injured. I do expect this to end up in a fun entertaining match but I can't say I really like the odds right now. Both teams have a very high 2H over ratio and that is what I mainly will be looking for in-play. No Pre-Game Bets

Waasland vs Genk

Racing Genk lost last week surprisingly as a -2 home favorite mostly because they are unable to replace Pozzuelo who was suspended. There is no real sign they have lost their domination in the league though and this away match against Waasland Beveren might be the one where they have another easy walkover. The home team has been riding their luck a little bit and have gotten out of the danger zone for now being 8 points ahead of Lokeren. My lean goes out to Genk and I took a small initial bet on Genk -1.5 @ 1.830 with an eye to possibly take more live. The over is also on my radar, but both teams have most of their goals in the 2nd half so I'm saving it up. In case Waasland manages to score the first goal, a comeback would not be that unlikely. this one could be turn out in a really interesting Live Betting match and I'm highly looking forward to it. In case Genk are up by a couple at HT things might slow down with an eye on the upcoming Europa League match next week.
