Delhi Dynamos FC will be hosting Bengaluru FC this Sunday evening at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The Dynamos resurgence has come a bit late in the tournament but they will want to improve their placing in the league table as the league stage is coming to an end. Bengaluru FC will be looking to confirm their place in the last four with the one win that they need and will look upon this outing as an opportunity to achieve that.

Delhi Dynamos FC

Delhi Dynamos FC is placed last but one in the league table with 12 points in their kitty with 2 wins and 6 draws in the fifteen matches that they have played. They had to go 11 straight matches without a win but have shown some resilience in their past four games. They have salvage 8 of those points from their last four matches. Joseph Gombau will want to take the game to the Bengalurians with Lallianzuala Chhangte back in the squad. With Daniel Lalhimpuia, and Rene Mihelic leading the attack and Chhangte and Nanda Kumar Sekar assisting them from the flanks they will look to keep the Bengaluru FC defence busy.

Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC is sitting at the top of the table with 31 points and three matches in hand including this one. They will look at this game as an opportunity to finish as the league leaders. They have been a bit shaken up with two defeats and a draw in their last four matches. The Venezuelan Miku is back in the team and he could not do much against Chennayin FC. He along with Sunil Chhetri will be raring to go against the Dynamos. Carles Quadrat will also look to attack while keeping an eye on his back line which cost them two of their recent matches and almost another one.

Head to head

The two teams have faced each other only thrice in the ISL. Of those three matches, Bengaluru FC has won two while Delhi Dynamos FC has won one. It is pertinent to note here that both the teams have won their home matches.

Current form of the two teams

Delhi Dynamos have shown a newfound form in their last few games. It looks like playing without the pressure of qualifying for the playoffs has done them a load of good. They have not conceded a game in their last four matches. Bengaluru, on the other hand, goes into this game after having lost to bottom-placed Chennaiyin FC. They have lost two matches in their last four games in their worst display this season.

Prediction

There have been several adverse matches for the teams in the top four since the league resumed after the winter break. However, Bengaluru FC will not take any chances and will go in with their best playing eleven in this game. I, therefore, think that Bengaluru FC will triumph in this match.
