Tomorrow in Bern a big game awaits us: BSC YB - FC Basel
Tomorrow is a big day in Switzerland. BSC Young Boys plays against FC Basel, and at this early stage, YB could already increase their advantage over Basel to 12 points after only 7 games.
BSC Young Boys
They count their league games by victories. They qualified for the first time ever for the Champions League. They are still in the Cup, with a lot of luck though. Every thing is just fine at the moment. Even the defeat against Manchester United last Wednesday was not too bad. It was 0:3, but this was not the actual difference between the team. To be closer than most thought to a team like ManU should give them extra moral and confidence for the rest of the season.
FC Basel
Only 9 points after 6 games is clearly one of the worse starts in many years for Basel. Specially the defense dissapointing. Already 9 goals conceded in the lague, another 8 in the 6 European Qualifyier games. They improved with the new coach Marcel Koller, but the last draw against FC Thun raised again some questions.
Conclusion
FC Basel had more time to prepare the game and are rested. The last league game was 20 days ago, in between the National teams played and there was a Cup round. In Europe, YB played at home against ManU and Basel paused.
YB is at it's peak and the fans are supporting them very hard. I think this will be a big factor in this game. There are only 3000 tickets remaining, so probably the stradium will be sold out.
I think YB is to strong at the moment for the FC Basel. They should win this game.
