A few months ago, I was lucky enough to finish in the top 50 of the Bethereum Gaming Contest. I earned 50,000 BETHER tokens, but more than that, I had a great time betting against around 10,000 other sports fans on a wide variety of sporting events over the course of two months.
Many of you joined me, so I figured I would share the new competition with you as well, which launched today, March 19. This competition debuts new features, and I'm excited to press my luck and see if I can once again finish in the top 50. Want to join me?
What is Bethereum?
Bethereum is a social betting community built on the blockchain. It uses a social betting format where bettors wager against a specific group of people or the community, and the payout is based on the amount wagered on each result of the bet instead of odds created by a bookmaker. They have built a large following and community over the past year and a half and have a lot of momentum as they get closer to releasing their full platform.

Gaming Contest & New Features
The new contest will have two rounds, and each will give 30,000 BETHER tokens to the top 50 finishers along with prizes to the top 500 finishers. There will also be a drawing for the grand prize of 500,000 BETHER.
Each player will receive 4,000 points that they can use to bet on both sporting events and eSports events. Wagers range from 50-1,000 points, and there is no limit on the number of bets you can place.
To place a wager, you simply click on the final result of a sporting event, and choose how many points you would like to wager. When the event is over, if you were right, you will win points based on how many points were bet on the other results. The higher the percentage of points that were wagered on the losing results, the more you'll win.
