Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar de la Hoya believes that all Mexicans are expecting the superstar Canelo Alvarez to knockout the IBO, WBC, middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin in their rematch.

According to Dela Hoya, moreover, Canelo has become more popular on their country due to its issue of using a banned substance in February.

"Right now in Mexico, Canelo is bigger and more popular than ever because clenbuterol is the normal thing there," said Dela Hoya. "The whole country wants him to knock out GGG."

In the past few months it has been reported that the two parties has some issue due to monetary terms.

Golovkin wants a 50-50 split, while Alves wants 65-35.

But then the two agreed that they will have it 55-45.

Their rematch is scheduled on September 16 (Philippine Time), at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The two champions was already in a match last September 2017 which led to a controversial draw.
