One of the medium pacers of Indian cricket, Munaf Patel who was the part of 2011 world cup which had won by India, has taken retirement from all the formats of cricket. Munaf Patel started his cricket carrier in 2006. He played the 2011 world cup with many senior and experienced famous player. He was a very economical bowler. Unfortunately, he could not get a lot of chance to contribute a lot for India team. His small carrier was good for Indian cricket. He has played 70 ODI and 3 T-20 matches for India along with 13 Test matches.

He said in media he is happy with his small carrier. He felt lucky because he was the part of world cup winning team. This is really prestigious for every cricketer. He also said all of the players of his time is now retired except MS Dhoni. Now he does not want to hang on between young bowlers who are looking for getting chance in Indian team. He also said that here no motivation for playing is remain. He said that he wants to be a coach. Munaf played last first-class match in 2016.

If we look at other teams for whom he played ,is Gujrat and Maharastra in domestic cricket. He had also played for Rajasthan Royals, Gujrat Lions and Mumbai Indians in IPL.

In the Indian team, I have seen fast bowlers time span for contributing is shorter than batsman and spinner. We can see nowadays Indian ODI team have no chance for Ashwin. Although he is the spinner and there is no doubt he is doing excellent. Here the problem is a lot of choices open for selectors.
