After losing a second warm-up match against West Indies with a huge margin they were having several questions with their bowling attack but they come back very nicely. New Zealand wants a good start from their first match against Sri Lanka. On the other side, Sri Lanka had lost their warm-up match and their team is not the completely balanced team as there is a less experienced player in their squad.
New Zealand skipper and Williamson after winning the toss elected to field first as they knew that if they All out Ari Lanka team under 200 then it will be an advantage for them to win a match with a high margin. But New Zealand opener wants a result as early as possible as so for that they even start playing with aggressive batting. New Zealand chase a target without losing a single ticket under 17 overs only. Matt Henry was given trophy as a man of the match reward.
