Ehsan Mani is the new Pakistani Chief Cricket who said on Saturday that his board reviews their stance on Global Leagues. They would seek assurances as well.
To reduce the workload, Pakistan Cricket Board restricted the player's participation to one league that was their PSL (Pakistan Super League).
Mani told reporters,
He said, I only understand the criteria of being paid by the PCB that how much players will get the money and how much get the PCB.
He also said that I would like to examine deeply where Pakistani Players going to participate but they didn't look at the players' workload in the previous setup of PCB.
Mani needs assurance of straight league that's why he has asked the ICC to give confidence of the fairness leagues.
He requested to ICC that please look into deeply again because I need to get satisfaction for upcoming leagues so I am holding back my position.
Ehsan Mani said that he needs confidence from the ICC because we want a fair league. lemme explain it later that why he needs surety.
Why he needs assurance?
Because the IPL (Indian Premier League) was involved in 2013 over match-fixing allegations. The result was horrible that a lifetime ban on Shanthakumaran Sreesanth and two-year ban two franchises.
In the same 2013 year, the Bangladesh Premier League was caught by fixing matches with resulting of 7 players charged.
PSL was also rocked in 2016 over spot-fixing scandals with five years ban for openers Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan.
