With the help of a century of Jani Bairstow, England defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the third one-day international on Tuesday. England had the target of 359 runs and they got it by losing four wickets with the help of Bairstow 128 runs. With this, he showed that his team can achieve big goals too. England generally likes to bat first but keeping the World Cup in mind, captain Eoin Morgan decided to field first to give the team the chance to pursue the goal.
Bairstow shared a 159-run partnership with Jason Roy (76) for the first wicket. Apart from these, Joe Root 43, Moin Ali not out 46, Ben Stokes 37 and Morgan scored an unbeaten 17, which helped England achieve the target with 31 balls remaining. With this victory, England have made a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Earlier, Pakistan had scored 358 runs in nine wickets with the help of Imam-ul Haq (151) highest score. Apart from them, Asif Ali (52) reached 50 runs. Chris Woakes took four wickets for 67 runs in England's favor.
