After lossing test series of two matches by a big margin south Africa today beats south Africa in the first ODI match of five matches series hosted by srilanka.south Africa beats Sri Lanka by five wickets. 

         This match was played in Dambulla. In this match Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Sri lankan openers comes into the crease in the form of Dickwella and Tharanga. But they does not able to play a even small partnership. In the first over of the match, bowled by Rabada takes the wicket of Dickwella. He scores just two runs and gives the catch in the hands of shamsi. Srilanka losses five wickets quickly at the score of 36 runs. In which Mandi's scores just 3 runs and his wicket was taken by Rabada, Tharanga gets run out by the MIS connection between batasmans, he scores 10 runs,  captain Mathews scores just five runs, his wicket was taken by Lungi Ngidi and  S Jayasuriya scores golden duck , his wicket was taken by Rabada. Now the score of team srilanka was 36-5 in 8 overs . Srilanka losses their big five wickets. Then Kusal Perera and Parera was in the crease they played well and pushes her team to the score of 128 runs in 17 overs . After that Shamsi comes into the attack Ann gives the big breake through to his team, he takes the wicker of Thisara Perera. Peters was playing well he scores 49 runs in just 30 balls at the time when five wickets were fallen.

   After that Dananjaya and Kusal Perera was in crease . On one side Kusal Perera was playing vary well but on the other hand no one was able to stand in the crease. Then danajaya gets out 166, his wicket was taken by Shamsi  he scores 11 runs. Then srilanka lost the wicket of Kusal Perera who scores a brilliant innings of 81 runs in 72 balls with 11 fours and 1 six. At this time score of team srilanka was 179-8. Then Sri Lanka lost their two more wicket and gets all out at the score of 193.

    In bowling side of south Rabada and shamsi takes four wickets both and Lungi Ngidi take one wicket.

    After the break south African openers come into the crease.  The target was not high. Amla and de Kock comes into crease and scores 31 runs partnership in four overs . Then Dananjaya comes into attack and takes the two wickets in two balls.  Firstly He takes the wicket of Amla who scores 19 runs and then in next ball he takes the wicket of makram who scores the golden duck. Now the score of team south Africa was 31-2. Then the captain du Plessis comes into crease. He and delete kock plyas a brilliant partnership of 86 runs. Again Danajaya comes into the attack and takes one more big wicket of de Kock who scores a brilliant inning of 47 runs in 59 balls with 4 fours and 1 six at the team score of 117.After that Duminy comes into the crease. At the score of 129 runs south Africa lost their fourth wicket in the shape of captain  du Plessis who scores a 47 runs with 10 fours. After that Duminy and miller scores a partnership of 43 runs and takes south Africa vary close to victory. At the score of 172 runs miller gets out by Lakmal, miller scores 10 runs . Willem Mulder and Duminy pushes the south Africa to their  victory in first ODI by five wivkets. Duminy scores a brilliant half century.

     In the bowling side of srilanka Dananjaya takes three wickets and Sandakan and lakmal takes one wicket both.

Tabraiz Shamsi was given man of the match for his four wickets.
