Tom Garrett

TOM GARRETT 🇦🇺 1858 - Thomas William Garrett simply known as Tom Garrett was born today at Wollongong, New South Wales in Australia. As you easily get that he was an early Australian Bowler played for Australia from 1877 to 1888. He was a Right Arm Fast Bowler who can Bat a bit. At the age of 18 years he debuted for Australia in March 1877 against England in Melbourne. He was one of the few player who played the World's First International Test Match. In his 11 years of career he bowled for his country in 19 Tests. In his 19 Tests he took 36 wickets with the help of Five Wickets in an Innings Twice and scored 339 Runs where 51* was his best score. In 1888, He left his International Career at the age of 30 at Sydney. After taking his retirement he was playing for his homeland New South Wales in the First Class Cricket. His First Class Career was more impressive than his International Career. He played for New South Wales for 160 First Class Matches. In his First Class Career he took 446 Wickets and taken Ten Wickets in a Match 4 times and Five Wickets in an Inning 29 Times. He also scored 3673 Runs and hit 2 Centuries & 10 Fifties. In his First Class Career Garrett also become the Captain for the New South Wales. He was gaining highly praises for his Captaincy specially for his skill in handling and inspiring the younger bowlers. In 6th August 1943, he passed away at the age of 85 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was the last player who played the First International Test Match.

G. S. Ramchand

RAMCHAND 🇮🇳 1927 - Gulabrai Sipahimalani Ramchand simply known as "Ram" Chand was an Indian Cricketer who was born on Karachi, Sind, British India (Now in Pakistan). He was an All Rounder, A Right Hand Batsman and Right Arm Medium Fast Bowler. He played his First Test Match against England in June 6, 1952 at Headingley, England. His selection for the tour of England was a surprise for everyone. But he was dismissed by the pair of Ducks in the match. He played his last Test against Australia in 23rd January, 1960. He was very aggressive middle-order batsman and Fast bowler Opener. Between his 8 year career he played 33 Test matches where he managed to scored 1180 Runs with 2 Hundreds and 5 Fifties and also taken 41 Wickets. In his International career he also did Captaincy for India and led his team to win Australia for the first time. He was one of the first cricketers who endorsed commercial brands. In his 145 First Class matches he scored 6000+ Runs with 16 Centuries and took over 255 Wickets with 5 Wickets in an Innings 9 times. At the age of 76 he died at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India in September 8, 2003.

Spidey Jonty Rhodes

JONTY RHODES 🇿🇦 1969 - Jonathan Neil Rhodes is a former New Zealand Cricketer born on today at Pletermaritzburg, Natal Province, South Africa. He was a Right Hand Middle Order Batsman for his national team. Debuted at 13th November 1992 against India in Test match at his home ground Kingsmead, Durban. He played his First One Day International against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground for the ICC Cricket World Cup 1992 on February 26 but he couldn't get a chance to bat. In his 52 Tests he scored over 2500 Runs and hits 3 Centuries and 17 Fifties and taken 34 catches. And in ODIs he played 245 matches and collects 5935 Runs with 2 Centuries and 33 Fifties and taken 105 catches. He was noted for his defensive batting style but running like a horse in field. In his International Cricket Career between 1992 to 2003 he is renowned for his Fielding named one of the best fielders in the Cricket history. He famously known as Spidey Jonty. Cricket Fields Backyard Point is the favourite point of Jonty. It was his most common position. He took retirement for Test Matches to play the 2003 World Cup. But in the early stage of the World Cup cause of his broken hand he withdraw his name and takes retirement from the ODI as well. Except Cricket Rhodes also played Hockey for his national team. In 1992 he was also selected for the Olympics games squad. But unfortunately that squad didn't qualified for the tournament. Again in 1996, he was called for the trials to play the Olympics. But again ruined cause of his injury in the hamstring. He is currently the Fielding Coach of his national team South Africa. And in IPL he is the Fielding Coach of Mumbai Indians. In April 24, 2015 during the IPL, his daughter was born on Mumbai. He named his daughter India Rhodes after the country where she born.

Khaled Mahmud Sujon

KHALED MAHMUD SUJON 🇧🇩 1971 - He is also known as his pet name Sujon. Mahmud was born today at Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was an All Rounder for the Bangladesh Cricket team. He was a Right Hand Batsman and Right Arm Medium Pacer. In Test, he debuted at 8th November 2001 against Zimbabwe and cause of his poor performance soon get dropped. He played his last Test match in 29th October 2003 against England. In this 2 years of his Test Career he played 12 matches and scored 266 Runs and took 13 Wickets. In ODI, he debuted at 10th January 1998 against India and played for his country till 20th February 2006 against Sri Lanka. In this 8 years long career he played for Bangladesh in 77 ODIs and scored 991 Runs with single Fifty and taken just 67 Wickets. After his retirement he served his national team as the Assistant Coach. Currently he is the Manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Team. In July 2017, he had a Stroke and taken to the Singapore for Treatment and he recently recovered from that Stroke.
