Nepali Young leggie Sandeep Lamichhane has shown his brilliant bowling once again. He bowled four over conceding just 18 runs and picked up the two wickets. His team Melbourne Stars has won the first match in this BBL.

After winning the toss, Melbourne Stars chose to bowl first. Sandeep opened the Melbourne Stars bowling attack and gave away just four runs in the first over. Then he bowled his second over in the 9th over of the inning, in that over he conceded four runs again and picked up one wicket. He got the wicket of Sydney’s captain Henriques. Then he bowled his third over in the 12th over of the inning and picked up one wicket conceding just three runs. Then he bowled his last over in the over conceding nine runs. Overall it was a fantastic performance from Sandeep. After taking two wickets yesterday, he is on the top of the BBL highest wicket-takers list.

Sydney was able to score just 130 runs in 20 over. JR Coleman got three wickets in just three overs conceding 18 runs, Bravo and Lamichhane picked up two wickets each as Zampa and Maxwell got one wicket each. Chasing the target of 131 runs Melbourne Stars reached the target in 14.5 overs in loss of five wickets after the impressive batting from Handscomb. Handscomb scored 70 runs and Larkin scored 20 runs; other batsman didn’t play well.
