Nepal moves ahead in ICC ODI rankings for the first time after they have been listed in the rankings table. Nepal had played a ODI series against UAE in January. Nepal had won the series by 2-1 and claimed their post in the ODI rankings at the 15th spot. According to the new rankings table, Nepal moved ahead than UAE in the ICC rankings in the 14th spot while UAE is placed in the 15th spot.
Nepal has not played any ODI series after UAE series. Zimbabwe defeated UAE by 4-0 in the recent ODI series. Due to the bad performance of UAE they moved down in the table. Nepal has played 6 matches after they got the ODI status. Out of which, Nepal has won 3 while lost 3 matches. Nepal has won and loss to Netherlands in 1 match each. Also, Nepal has won 2 matches against UAE while Nepal has lost 2 matches against UAE.
Nepal has 152 points being in the 14th spot with 15 ratings. UAE has 267 points with 14 ratings and 15th place in the rankings. Netherlands is at the 16th spot with 50 points and 8 ratings. England tops the table while India, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, West Indies, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Scotland are from the 2nd to 13th position in the rankings table.
