1994 Hiroshima, Japan. The 1994 Asian Games took place October 2-16, in Hiroshima, Japan. This 12th edition carries the theme "promoting peace and harmony between Asian countries". 2006 Doha, Qatar. Asian Games XV held December 1 to 16 in Doha, Qatar. A total of 9,520 athletes from 45 NOCs competed in 39 sports including several new branches, namely bodybuilding, softball, soft tennis and wushu. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani held an opening ceremony at the Khalifa International Stadium. The 2006 Asian Games provided 1,393 gold medals.
2010 Guangzhou, China. The 16th Asian Games were held in Guangzhou, China, November 12-11, 2010. By presenting 9,704 participants from 45 NOCs, the event was opened by Prime Minister Wen Jiabao at the Guangdong Olympic Stadium. This event shows 42 sports with a total of 1,577 medals.
2014 Incheon, South Korea. The 17th Asian Games were held in Incheon, South Korea, September 19 to October 4, 2014. With 9,501 participants from 45 NOCs.
