I'm a big fan of Dota2 tournaments and competitions especially the famous The International tournament. It is the grandest of all Dota2 tournament and the most anticipated by many Dota2 players and fans around the globe.
Most of the Dota2 fans already know who are the famous teams and with upcoming The International 2018 tournament this August, I am really sure that many players are betting for their best teams.
As of current collected prize pool from Battle Pass, it didn't surpass the previous prize pool. There might be a big possibility that current Battle Pass features are not what Dota2 players wanted or there might be a big chance that player base did decrease due to some new game release every month.
As I can see the game company Valve behind the hit game Dota2, is really going great on their promise to continue to support players through their organized tournaments and competitions. This is one way to let players do some competitive gaming experience and at the same time, they will able to get prizes from winning.
All Filipino Team
As a Filipino, I am a fan of TNC Predator, who was an underdog in The International 2016. That is the first time that a Philippine Team manages to get into the tournament in a higher ranking, which they able to grab the 7th position at that time.
They were acknowledged by most Dota2 fans after they manage to defeat OG Team which is expected to be winning in the tournament. That time they are not All-Filipino where their fifth roster is Jimmy Ho who played support for the group.
The following year in The International 2017, they changed their support player to a Canadian Sivatheeban aka 1437. The result is still great where they end up the same position as they are last year.
Now, this coming The International 2018, they manage to have an All-Filipino roster: Raven play as Carry, Armel play as Solo Middle, Sam_H play as Offlaner, Tims plays Support and Kuku plays as Support and Captain. There had been a change of role for Kuku while actually play as Solo Middle at first but changed after Armel plays on the Team.
The team had already improved both their gameplay and teamwork since Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 where they manage to have the 4th place ranking on that tournament.
Biggest Challenge
This is a big challenge for the team to surpass their previous records in The International where they end up at 7th place. They will be facing the best teams in the tournament with the likes of Virtus.pro, Team Liquid, and many others.
Filipino Dota2 fans are in full support of the team on their journey on the tournament that they will still manage to have a place in the upcoming International tournament.
It has been recorded last year that the team did perform well on the Group Stage which they able to place 4th in Group A, but ultimately lost with LGD.Forever Young in the Upper bracket, dropping the team to the Loser's bracket where they end up challenging OG and lost in the process.
Still, I have high hopes that TNC Predator will have excellent performance during their games in the upcoming tournament.
Win or lose, I'm in total support of the team. They have given pride to the country.
