Colombia is a cycling power and the large number of its representatives in the highest category will participate in the tour of Colombia to be held between February 12 and 17, we hope that you get the best performance for each one of them.
These are according to my criteria the best cyclists that will participate in the Colombia 2019 tour:
Rigoberto Urán
He is undoubtedly one of the best cyclists in the history of Colombia, his being his favorite phrase "Tranquilo daddy, do not worry."
Uràn finished almost in second place to Chris Froome (Team Sky) in the Tour de France 2017.
During his 13 years as a professional he has won 16 races, including a stage of the Giro d'Italia 2013 and a stage of the Tour de France 2017.
He finished twice in the general second in the Giro d'Italia. He obtained the silver medal in the 2012 Race of the Olympic Games in London.
Sergio Luis Henao
He is a leading climber and gregarious cyclist who began his career in the professional team of Colombia is Passion and then spent two seasons in the Gobernación de Antioquia-Indeportes Antioquia team (one of them as an amateur), and then to Team Sky.
In 2017, in the National Road Championship, it was in the first place after a circuit of more than 200 kilometers, and the title of the Pariz-Nice. A year later he revalidated the title and finished fourth in the first edition of the Colombia Oro y Paz
Sebastian Henao
He is a Colombian professional cyclist who currently runs for Team Sky. He is the cousin of cyclist Sergio Luis Henao, with whom he shares a team since 2014
He stood out for having obtained a third place in the Tour de Langkawi. He has participated in four times in the Giro d'Italia in 2016 when he signed his best performance, he finished the 16th.
Fernando Gaviria
The Colombian sprinter since he became a professional, in the second part of the 2015 season, has won 34 victories, including three stages and one day as leader of the Tour de France 2018 and four stages and points shirt in the Giro d'Italia of 2017
The Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina (January 27 to February 3) and the Tour Colombia 2.1 (February 12 to 17), will mark the beginning of a season in which the great objective of the Colombian packer will be to win the green jersey of the Tour de France, which is currently in the hands of the Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan
Nairo Quintana
is a Colombian route cyclist, professional since 2009 and current member of the Spanish team Movistar Team, UCI ProTeam category
In 2014 he made history for Colombian cycling by winning the Giro d'Italia, being the first Colombian and Latin American to obtain this title, and the second, after Luis Herrera, to win one of the three Grand Vueltas.
Winner Anacona
He debuted in his first great round in the Vuelta a España 2012 finishing in 19th place in the general classification.
Winner Anacona won the ninth stage of the Vuelta a España of 2014
In 2015 he is part of the Movistar Team as a luxury team member of his compatriot Nairo Quintana.
Miguel Angel Lopez
Miguel Angel Lopez participated in the 2016 Vuelta a España, which he had to abandon due to a fall. For his good performance in La Vuelta 2017, which he managed to finish, and the unexpected departure of team leader Fabio Aru, he was appointed to head the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España for the 2018 season. In the Giro he managed to climb to the podium in third place behind Chris Froome and Tom Dumoulin and to claim the classification of best young man.
Superman Lopez in 2018 debuted in the Giro and finished in the third box of the podium, behind the champion, the British, Chris Froome, and the second, the Dutchman, Tom Dumoulin.
Of the 17 Colombian cyclists that make up the World Tour category, the maximum of cycling in the world, Lopez was the best, the best results, and that ratifies the third place in the Giro d'Italia and the Tour of Spain, two podiums that for the Astana rider is a good record at 24 years old.
Daniel Martinez
In his short but interesting track record, Martínez holds three participations in the Tour de L'Avenir, two Giros de Italia and a title in the Vuelta del Futuro.
