Previously on Tower of Death, after going up the first ten floors of the mysterious tower, Kasumi from the Dead or Alive video games travelled the next 5 floors, battling guardians formed out of wood, fire, water, earth, glass, and crystal. Now she faces a guardian formed out of molten steel, whose only words prior to battle are “I will break you.”

The Sixteenth Floor: the Steel Guardian
The Steel Guardian

Kasumi begins to fight the Steel Guardian, who seems impervious to fists and kicks. The guardian then proceeds to quickly overpower Kasumi, and then try to choke Kasumi while preparing to throw her into the pool of molten steel to join the unfortunate combatants encased in the nearby block of steel. Kasumi pulls out her katana and then slashes the steel guardian in the face. While unfazed by it, the guardian does stagger enough to put down Kasumi, giving Kasumi a short period of recovery before attempting to attack the guardian again. Kasumi then notices a fairly good sized ingot and then throws it at the Steel Guardian's stomach. The Guardian is winded by the attack, giving Kasumi a chance to get the drop on her. After a handful of blows, Kasumi deals a fatal blow to the Steel Guardian's chest. As the Steel Guardian staggers and then falls to the floor, she begins to turn into a rusty steel version of her human form. Kasumi then heads to the next floor of this Tower of Death.

The seventeenth floor: the Silver Guardian
The eighteenth floor: the Golden Guardian

The seventeenth floor houses a stone bed with a silver center. Out of that silver center, a human form emerges (who would be played by Trish Stratus). The Silver Guardian awakens after being formed from the silver on the bed and disembarks to face Kasumi. A fierce battle ensues and both combatants fight well. The combat ends when Kasumi kicks the Silver Guardian hard on the chest, with the guardian then turning into a silver-painted corpse soon after. She then heads to the eighteenth floor where she faces a Golden Guardian (who would be played by Lita). The Golden Guardian initially overpowers Kasumi, but both fight well. Kasumi then kicks the guardian hard enough to cause her to fly back into the corner. The guardian, now defeated, turns into a gold-painted corpse a la Goldfinger. Kasumi then heads to the next floor, realizing there are a few more floors to go.

The nineteenth floor: the Chaos Guardian
The Chaos Guardian

The nineteenth floor is not as well-lit as the other floors this time around. As Kasumi enters the floor, she sees no guardian in sight. Cautious, she walks slowly, almost unaware of a wild woman running after her until she kicks the woman at the last second. The wild woman is called the Chaos Guardian (who would be played by Nikki Cross). The Chaos Guardian looks at Kasumi like a wolf ready to pounce its prey, and proceeds to lunge at Kasumi. A moment of wrestling ensues, with the Chaos Guardian trying to claw Kasumi's face, and then trying to strangle Kasumi. Kasumi kicks the Chaos Guardian in the shin, and a fierce fight ensues with fists and kicks. After being hit by a few major blows, the Chaos Guardian staggers and seems to have trouble standing. She then tries to lunge at Kasumi for one last time, but is stopped when Kasumi stabs her with the katana. The Chaos Guardian then tries to grab Kasumi, with Kasumi holding her head. After a failed attempt at reversing Kasumi, the Chaos Guardian's neck breaks, killing the wild guardian. After falling to the floor in a corpse position for a few seconds, the guardian turns into a pile of worms. Kasumi, taken aback by the sight, realizes that the next few floors will probably involve some dark foes. She prepares to face them as she heads to the next floor.
