💦Day 40 of 80 Day Obsession Workout Program 💦

Well, Day 40 is in the books. Today was Cardio Core. Another hard one, but I kinda like the hard work. Today was a tough cardio day as you will see with the gifs below. Cardio is my biggest weakness, but I am pushing through! Even though some days, I am like ugh, I tell myself what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. I hope that stays true. Every Cardio day, I feel like I am gonna die!

💀How Cardio Core Kills Me Slowly = High Knees 💀

I hate high knees. When I first did these, they were so hard. They’re not as difficult now, but still pretty tough. This move in Phase one helped me improve and I can feel the difference in my ability to do it in phase two. Still tough, still hate it, but still getting stronger!

If I Hate High Knees So Much, Why Do I Do Them?

It’s true, this move I do not love at all. However, I know from years of working out it is good for me. Sometimes you just have to do moves that you don’t like to see results. Also, I’m improving at this move, and I use to modify this move a lot when I did these at first. But now, not as much in phase 1, which is progress and considering cardio isn’t my strong suit that is a major achievement!

😣 Twisting Jump Rope = This Is Still Hard😣

This was so hard and very challenging. At first, I thought to myself, I got this! Only after 10 seconds did I start to doubt myself. You definitely feel this move. If you’re like me, you will be glad when this move is over! You can totally tell this is a cardio move for sure.

💪Why Are Twisting Jump Ropes So Hard For Me & How Do I Do Them?💪

Working out while you are overweight can be quite challenging! Any move that requires jumping I struggle to do with my weight. However, just because I struggle with the move doesn’t mean I give up/ My thinking process is how can I finish this move safely and get the best results for me. The answer for me is modify when I need to. I do the jumping version of this move until I can’t, then take the modification(which means take the jumping out). I do feel bad I can’t do the move without the modification but at least I did it!

🤔 My Thoughts On Cardio Core & On The Sliders🤔

Cardio Core is the “easier version” of the cardio days. You do 30 seconds of a low-intensity move. Then you do 30 seconds of a high-intensity move. An Example of a high-intensity move is the twist jump rope or high knee.

Each round is three minutes. The three minutes include core moves done with a slider. You do this for seven rounds. After you finish all of your cardio rounds, you repeat all the core moves in one fun round(I say fun with much sarcasm).

Cardio was pretty brutal, but I did better today. There was no change to this cardio routine from last week, which is good because I don’t think I could take any more. I can feel my cardio is improving, not a lot, but some. I'll take any progress with cardio as it is my greatest weakness.

Phase 1: Helped me improve my cardio! It surprised me that I made it through the cardio day as well as I did.

               🌟Woohoo I Survived the Workout🌟

I may be wiped out, but I am glad I finished. Even though I had to take a few breaks. At the end of the day, I finished my workout at my pace. I may not break any records but I am one step closer to achieving my goal to be at a more healthy weight!

Are you doing any workouts or doing a certain workout program?

 Does it involve bands?

Does it involve weights or a mixture of both?

Are you just doing a cardio program?

Let me know in the comments!
