With Eden Hazard missing most of the season, the onus was on Vinicius Jr and Marco Asensio to help Karim Benzema carry the Real Madrid C.F. forward line. But to Madridistas disappointment, the Spaniard and young Brazilian sensation failed to take their chances. Asensio being the senior partner was more disappointing than young Vinicius, who at times seemed like trying too much in desperation.

But now Zidane can see a ray of hope; with Rodrygo Goes and Fede Valverde back on the field, Zidane will have the freedom to try different formations. A significant addition that both these players provide is versatility; Rodrygo can play anywhere in attack, whereas Fede can play central midfielder, wide right midfielder and even a DM. One of Fede's most important characteristic is his stamina to press the opponent for whole damn 90 mins, due to which I think he will play AMF (similar to how Marcos Llorente is playing for Atletico Madrid, right now).

Now coming to the formation which can actually solve our problems:

Defense: Courtois (GK), Vazquez (RB), Varane (RCB), Nacho (LCB), Mendy(LB)

Note: Ramos and Carvajal are still training alone, so they have been ignored for games in the near future!

Midfield: Casemiro (CDM), Kroos(CM), Modrić(CM), Valverde (RM)

Forwards: Benzema(ST), Rodrygo Goes(CF)

Why this formation and its benefits:

This formation will give Real Madrid the energy and balance they need right now. Fede Valverde and Rodrygo are two of the fastest players in the squad, and their speed, along with Benzema's smart link-up play, can unlock any defence of the world. Having Vini Jr in subs means we can substitute him later to exploit tired legs with his lighting speed.

Also, playing Valverde will give us the width we need; his defensive ability will allow Lucas to make overlapping runs to put in crosses for Benzema, who is very good in the air. Whereas Kroos and Modrić being themselves, can pull strings in midfield. An unchanged back four means our good defence will remain as it is.

Possible drawback:

With Martin Ødegaard loaned to Arsenal , we are short in midfield; hence playing all of our four best midfielders together will leave us with only one experienced midfielder Isco Alarcon, on the bench. Arribas and Mervin are other options, but they are still very young, and hence injury to any one of the four can force Zidane to completely change his plan.
