The Italian manager has been out of job for about a year following his dismissal from Juventus at the end of the 2019/20 season, despite winning the Serie A title.

Sarri, who is popular for having invented the "Sarri ball" also had a stint in England with Chelsea, leading them to the Europa League triumph in 2019.

Lazio will be looking to improve on their last campaign under the former Napoli manager, having secured Europa league football by virtue of their 6th placed finish in the league.

Haaland on the table

Following an impressive season with Dortmund, Erling Haaland has become one of the most talked about player in the transfer market and understandably so.

The Norwegian bagged 27 goals in 28 league games as Dortmund won the DFB Pokal and finished third in the Bundesliga.

He's been scouted by a host of suitors but Chelsea and Manchester City seem to be at the fore.

Chelsea have shown intent of not being afraid to spend big again this summer, following a successful campaign that climaxed in winning the Champions League for the second time in the club's history.

The management have already began moves to fortify against their title defence next season, with Erling Haaland their main transfer target this summer.

Dortmund, although are not interested in selling, have placed a release price of around £100 million on the player which Chelsea are not unwilling to meet.

Manchester City on the other hand look to be a bit disinterested in paying a £100 million for just one player and may sit this one out.

Both teams coincidentally are also looking at Tottenham's Harry Kane with the Englishman open to leave the North London side this summer.

It is left to be seen if Chelsea and Manchester City will pursue Haaland till the end or wait till next season when his price tag may have fallen a bit, depending on his performance.
