The record for his pretty goal gave Piatek contracted by Genoa in the transfer window last summer. He also immediately became a mainstay on the front line of I Grifone.

After joining Genoa, Piatek immediately continued his sensation with up to now having scored seven of three matches. Polish local media also dubbed him the successor to goal-hungry striker Robert Lewandowski.

Of the seven goals, four of them were printed by Piatek to Lecce in the Coppa Italia. While the two goals were scored by the bomber in Serie A against Sassuolo last weekend.

Reported by Il Secolo XIX, Barca were interested in Piatek and now they are claimed to be monitoring closely the development of the player.
