After a 2-1 first match win against China, Germany hope to continue their unbeaten run which has lasted for over a year and 3 months. The Germans Ladies were last defeated by the French side on the 7th of March, 2018.

It was a stalemate encounter until the 42' when Germany took the lead from a very tight encounter as Sara Daebritz buries the ball at the back of the net sharply after a defensive error by their opponent.

Spain fought hard but it was Germany who took maximum point on the day, 6 out of 6point.

Germany has now gone 18 Women's World Cup group stage games without defeat the longest of such run in the history of FIFA Women's World Cup.

Germany continue their dominance over the Spanish women football team after four(4) meetings. They have won two(2) and draw two(2) with the heaviest victory being a 5:0 win in an Euro Women Cup 2013.
