FC Barcelona are currently in the midst of an economic crisis that does not appear to be resolved in the near future. In connection with this summer's transfer window, however, Barca could have acquired some financial elbow room by selling three of the club's promising players, but the management at Camp Nou chose to keep the great talents.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United came on the field with a bid for Ansu Fati, who could thus have become the summer's most expensive player. "The Red Devils" offered 120 Million for the 18-year-old great talent, but the then president Josep Maria Bartomeu rejected the Premier League club's bid.

In addition, Bayern Munich were out with the string after midfield talent Pedri, who spent last season as a loannee in Las Palmas. The South German big club would pay 68 Million for the 18-year-old Spaniard, who in the summer of 2019 cost Barca 25 million. However, this amount may increase as a result of certain clauses.

In the end, FC Barcelona could apparently have profited from a sale of the Portuguese winger Trincão, who in January 2020 was bought for 40 Million in Braga.
