Gareth Bale was loaned out from Real Madrid to Tottenham this summer. Tottenham was the place where the Welshman made his name in the consciousness of all football fans around the world, and developed into one of the world's best players. The hopes were therefore high when he waited home this summer after a difficult time at Real Madrid.

However, the 31-year-old offensive player has far from impressed with his game, and Tottenham should have already decided not to extend the contract this summer, that according to the Spanish newspaper Marca today.

Bale will therefore return to Real Madrid this summer and it will not be a happy reunion. "Los Blancos" wants to get rid of the Welshman and his huge salary for everything in the world, but Bale reportedly had no intentions of terminating his contract. He intends to stay one more year instead.

Gareth Bale has yet to benefit from playing a full match in the Premier League this season for Tottenham. It has only been 230 minutes and a goal in the Premier League.
