The truth remains that humans tend to forget every good thing you did for them once the "goodness" spring dries up. We are wired in such a way that if we are not benefitting from you, we cast you aside.

Let's bring it down to football terms. Welsh winger Gareth Bale has been facing a very tough situation at Real Madrid for a while now. It has gotten so bad that he is barely remembered nor recognized as a Real Madrid player by media and fans alike, maybe even by the club because they have been trying to get rid of him in so many ways according to the media.

It is true that Gareth Bale has a part to play in the hate and criticisms he has been receiving of late as the Welshman apparently didn't handle his tough days at the club very well.

We all have bad days. Football players at some point in their career experience these bad days but it is expected that you rise above it, but in the case of Gareth, he let it continue to the extent it escalated.

The truth is that Gareth Bale got recurrent injuries since he arrived at Real Madrid. He would spend more time on the treatment table than he does on the pitch every season and this raised concerns at the club.

The Welshman showed glimpses of the brilliance that made Real Madrid purchase him. His blistering pace, shot power and technique, goal scorer and dribbler but at some point, all these flew out the window. Gareth shows less passion when he plays and even while at the bench, he shows less concern like he is not part of the team; hell there was a day Gareth Bale placed a cover on his face and appears to be sleeping while his fellow players were batttling it out on the pitch.

It has been reported severally that Bale is spotted at some place playing golf. The Welshman has never hid his admiration for the spot but despite his recurrent injuries, he never misses to play it. It is reported that Golf playing plays a part in his recurrent injuries but this report has not been confirmed.

Bale's disrespect for Real Madrid went to a whole new unforgivable level when on International duty with Wales, him and his teammates raised a flag with "Wales, Golf, Madrid; in that order" written boldly on it and they posed for the camera. Whether it is meant to torment his club or give the media what they always seek (trouble) is yet to be confirmed. The fact remains that Gareth Bale has not handled his situation at Real Madrid properly.

No matter how bad the media has portrayed Bale to be or how bad he has acted with the team, I won't forget the trophies he won for the club even singlehandely or the battles he went into with them. Never forget that he is a four-times Champions League winner with Real Marid and in two of those finals, he scored crucial goals. This and several other trophies he was won for the team does not excuse his reported shitty behavior but who knows if he is truly to be faulted or his actions are just taken out of context and conduct. Remember, with these people, you only know what they tell you.
