(Luka Modric 14', Marcos Llorente 60', Sergio Ramos 78', Nadar 86', OG Shitoani 91'.) There could barely be a better way to end 2018

There are so many positives coming from this match, like Real Madrid becoming the first team to win the Club World Cup three consecutive times and the team to have won it most times, 4. The unveiling of a star in the making, Marcos Llorente, who scored his first goal for the team after 78 matches. Solari's unnerved faith in players that almost had two feet outside the team's door paying out fine and so many others.

Real Madrid's manager Santiago Solari looked to win his first trophy for the team and solidify his stand in the mind of the team and fans. He made sure he utilized every talent at his disposal. Unleashing his first and best eleven at Kashima Antlers in the semi finals of the Club World Cup and against Al Ain in the finals.

With the same starting line up, Thubiat Courtois preferred in goal, Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane partnering each other at defence, Dani Carvajal at Right back and Marcelo at left back. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos flanked Marcos Llorente in midfield and Gareth Bale and Lucas Vasquez flanked Karim Benzema in attack. It was clear Solari was leaving no stone unturned and his tactics paid dividends.

In the 14th Minute, Luka Modric found the ball dropped in front of him by Benzema and he made no mistake in curling a left footed strike from outside the penalty area to open the scoring.

Real Madrid controlled the ball for much of the match but failed to score more until the 60 minute, when Marcos Llorente's hard work all season was rounded up with a wonderful strike from close to the 18 yard box. That goal from the midfielder put the match to bed and it was all Real Madrid from there.

In the 78th minute, Ramos scored a typical classic Ramos header from a Toni Kroos cross to make it 3 nil. He "shushed" the fans with a Raul/Ronaldo esque celebrations after they booed him for Salah's injury in last season's Uefa Champions League.

Al Ain finally put to effect, the threat everyone expected them to utilize against Real, set pieces. They scored their only goal in the 86th minute which proved to be only a consolation goal. A header by Nader from a free kick flew into the top left hand corner and was beyond the reach of Thubiat Courtois.

Vinicius Junior was introduced and he made no mistake in playing a part in the goals scored as a beautiful pass from Marcelo over the defence saw him run into the penalty area and a strike was deflected into the net by Shitoani.

Bar some mistakes from Raphael Varane, Dani Carvajal and Marcelo that almost had Al Ain score Early in the match, Real Madrid very much handled this match quite well and were deserving of the win as they out shot Al Ain by 28-8.

Real Madrid are going for the Christmas break all smiles. A 13th Champions League title and another international trophy, they ended the year on a high.. HALA MADRID!!!
