The terms "nothing lasts forever" is apt and worthy for qualifying Solari's miserable and terrible loss to a team with the lowest budget in La Liga. For a while, Solari seemed to be flying without wings and before we could say "Jack Robinson", he is already out of this planet with enough praises heaped on him for turning things around for the Whites.

It was without doubt that Solari's win streak will come to an end someday, everyone knows this is football, you win some and lose some, but nobody expected it to come at the hands of Eibar, and at worst the scoreline it ended with. For the first time since the turn of the tide, Real Madrid looked a team that was already on holidays and was forced beyond their will to step back on the pitch, they were weighed, they were measured and they were absolutely found wanting.

Coming into this match, Solari's team has banged in the goals in impressive numbers and had conceived few, fifteen goals scored and two conceived in four matches is no fluke and considering the team involved, it is to be expected. It looked like the team was back to being the best they were expected to be and headed for top spot in the league standings only to be pulled back by a resilient team that is worth four, five or more times the budget of Real Madrid.

WHERE DID IT ALL GO WRONG FOR REAL MADRID AND SOLARI?

The four matches Solari has overseen from the bench as manager that saw Real Madrid score goals and produce amazing displays were made possible with Castilla players willing to prove a point, younger players or the substitute players willing and striving to exchange positions with the veterans. Those matches saw the involvement of Sergio Reguilion at left back in the absence of Marcelo, Alvaro Odriozola at right back in the absence of Dani Carvajal, Nacho or Javi Sanchez partnered Sergio Ramos in the absence of Raphael Varane while the midfield and attack witnessed series of changes, like Lucas Vasquez flanking Benzema alongside Bale. Every position on the pitch was well covered and Real produced arguably their best performance of the season.

The match against Eibar saw the return of Marcelo and Raphael Varane to the starting eleven, Asensio flanked Benzema alongside Bale this time around and Dani Ceballos held the midfield alongside Kroos and Modric in Casemiro's absence. They looked a complete opposite of the team we saw few weeks ago, the striker and attackers cut a frustrating figure most times, the midfield lacked composure and the defence was left to the mercy of the gods.

Alvaro Odriozola's mistake on the edge of the 18 yard box proved costly as Eibar opened the scoring from there. He was injured and Carvajal came on to replace him, there was little improvement but it never stopped Eibar from running riot, they ran through the midfield and flanks with ease, they was very little support from Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, the looked a complete shadow of themselves and did little to nothing in progressing plays upfront.

Eibar played a high line for most part of the match and created more clear cut chances than Real Madrid, with the experience in Real Madrid's team, one would think they should have punished Eibar their high line time without number. Instead they lacked fluidity, urgency, class and was totally outplayed by their opponent.

SHOULD WE BLAME THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK??

The international break was what halted another week of probable free goal scoring from Real Madrid as their respective players went for international duties only to return and look a complete opposite of themselves. The worst part of Real's loss is they were scoring goals for fun prior to the break and returned only to draw blank against a team like Eibar with almost the same players that were responsible for the glory days...

What exactly went wrong?

Are the players already suffering from fatigue and are calling for holidays already?

Is there a crisis within the team?

Should some of the veteran players be benched for younger players to show their worth?

These are questions popping up inside my head as I publish this...
