Last season Atletico Madrid was denied by RB Leipzig to qualify for their first Champions League semi-final just 11 years after their formation after Atletico defeated the premier league Champion, Liverpool with 4-2 by the aggregate in the round 16 before they were defeated by RB Leipzig.

This season again Atletico Madrid is playing another Premier League club, Chelsea, in the round 16, which Chelsea are leading them with one goal by aggregate already.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have met six times, out of the matches Atletico won 2, Chelsea won 2, and they draw 2.

Atletico is visiting Chelsea at Stanford Bridge on 17 March for the UEFA Champions League rounds 16 seconds leg, which it seems may be difficult for Atletico to go there and perform wonders with one goal down.

Chelsea has not lost any of their last 13 matches across all competitions both at home and away, this may bolster their mentality to put in more effort and avoid what Atletico did to Liverpool last season.

To me, Chelsea may try all their possible best to avoid the embarrassment of Atletico coming from Spain and win them from a goal down, the only thing I think will happen is drawn.

Or did you think Atletico will still win Chelsea the way they did to their colleague Liverpool last season?
