Germany national team, a nation that was once a force as far as world football is concerned. The past world cup was a disaster for them for their standards, a nation that conquered the world in terms of football in the 2014 world cup edition. They haven’t been up to the level that they are known for, but are gradually fighting to get back to the football Germans we are all used to.

Still in the mood of the Uefa Euro qualifiers actions, Netherlands and Germany began their qualifiers match battle against each other, a tough encounter that was left till 90mins for the tie to be decided, as Germany got the better of the Netherland to clinch the victory at the Amsterdam Arena.

Brief Post-Match Analyses

This was an exciting and a much-anticipated fixture, as two heavyweights in the footballing world locked horns against each other in an epic encounter.

It was an exciting atmosphere as usual at the Amsterdam Arena, with lots of supporters of both nations buzzing and ready for the battle to begin.

Netherlands lineup in their favorite 4-3-3 formation while Germany, on the other hand, lined up in a 3-4-1-2 formation.

The game began and Germany immediately started the game with good intensity and already had a few shots in the first few minutes of the game before finally being rewarded with the early goal and then leaving it till the last few minutes of the game to come out of the Arena victorious. The Netherlands grew in the game as well and had some really good chances in the game, coming from 2 goals behind to level the scoreline up, but will be disappointed to not at least come out with a draw, after all their efforts in the second half.

Sane opened the scoring for the match in the 15th minute, receiving a cut back pass inside the box to fire the ball from close range to put the Germans in front very early in the game.

Gnabry added his name to the scoresheet in the 34th minute, scoring a beautiful solo effort to extend the Germans lead before halftime.

De Ligt goal a goal back just 3 minutes after the start of the second half, to restore hope for the Netherlands.

Depay showed once again his qualities following a beautiful ball control effort in the German box, wiggling his way out of a difficult situation, receiving a return pass before releasing a low shot to beat Neuer at the far post. The whole Netherland supporters went wild, unknowing to them what was about to come at the last minutes of the game.

Schulz became the hero for the Germans as his sliding effort to reach a cut back pass from the left-hand side to send the whole Germany supporters wild. This was the goal that broke the hearts of the Netherlands and ensured that the Germans leave the Arena with the victory.

It was a great win by the Germans to cap a fine performance, a win that will really boost their confidence as they keep pushing to get back to the top where they belong. For Netherlands, it was a disappointing loss for them considering their effort to draw the game level in the second half and will be gutted not to at least leave with a draw.

But before I conclude this post, let me briefly talk about what happened in the Belgium game against Cyprus…

Belgium defeated Cyprus by 2 goals to nil at the GSP Stadium. Goals by two Chelsea players, Hazard and Batshuayi were enough to put the victory in the bag.

And that is a wrap…
