Manchester City vs Watford

Coming up this Saturday is the much-anticipated FA cup final between Man City and Watford. Both teams will be meeting for the first time in the final round of this competition, to stand a chance of winning the second most prestigious trophy in the country.

Man City are already been crowned premier league and ELF cup champions this season and will be looking to add the third major trophy in their cabinet. This season has been very remarkable for the blue side of Manchester, winning back to back titles and above all, setting the level so high that only one team was able to meet up with such a high level. They have another great opportunity to cap their incredible season with the FA Cup trophy and will be aiming to get the job done at the Wembley Stadium.

Watford have had a great season so far in terms of the performances and results, but are on a run of very poor results in their last 4 games, drawing 1 and losing all 3. This is an extremely poor form considering the standard they have attained this season and have a great opportunity to not only finish the season on a high but also add to their history books. Winning the FA cup against the EPL winners at the Wembley Stadium will be a dream for them and they will be relishing this glorious opportunity a few days from now.

Man City vs Watford

This is a very important match for both teams, their last competitive game for the season.

For Man City, they are the clear favorites for this game, to lift the trophy and will be going into the game confident to get the job done at Wembley for the second time this season. However, being the favorite doesn’t always equate to success, so for them, it is going to be a very difficult match against a team that will want to give everything to win something special for their history.

Going into the game, Man City will most likely set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation and will be looking forward to having a good game. Their gameplan will be to try to dominate the game and using their passes and movements to create chances to win the game.

For Watford, this game means a lot to them. They are going into the game as the underdogs, so for them, it is a matter of proving themselves at the biggest stage and showing everyone that they deserved to also have the trophy in their somewhat dry and dusty cabinet. They still have a chance even though the odds are against them to win, but they have shown this season that they are well capable of beating any team on their day. Nevertheless, it will be an extremely difficult task against the league winners, but surely not impossible.

Going into this game, Watford will most likely set up in their usual 4-2-2-2 formation and will be aiming and ready to give their all to try to write a history for themselves. Their gameplan will be to stay very organized for most parts of the game and using their high energy to hurt City in counter-attacks and also set pieces.

And that is a wrap…

What do you think will be the outcome of this game?
