Manchester City

It is another new as we hope and keep our optimism high, expecting positive news in the coming weeks. As usual, in today’s post, we are focusing on Man City and what we should expect from them next season. In my previous posts, I talked about the likes of Chelsea, Man United and the most recent Liverpool and what I am expecting from them next season. If you have seen them, you can check up my previous posts on these teams.

Man City under Pep have proven to be one of the best team in the world and arguably the best team in the premier league. Last season was obviously their best ever season under Pep, winning the treble in style. This season has been tricky for them even though they are still sitting comfortably in second position, they have been clearly brushed aside by Liverpool who have been nothing short of superb this season.

Nevertheless, the season isn’t a failure for them as they will most likely win something at the end of the season. So sad that a lot of high hopes was places on Man City before the start of the season, a lot were expecting them to tear the premier league apart since they cleared every trophy in England last season, however, it didn’t turn out to be the case as Liverpool was just too strong for Man City to battle with.

Regardless of Man City not living up to expectations this season, they still remain one of the best teams in the world and as far as they are still being managed by Pep, they are still capable of pulling off incredible things. For me, I think Man City might go all the way next season to reclaim back the premier league title. They will be highly motivated to outshine Liverpool… the only sad news for them and their fans is that they will not be playing in the champions league next season regardless of what happens this season, if their UEFA ban stands. Bad news for them and good news for the other teams below them as this gives any team who finishes 5th a chance to play champions league football next season.

This means that they will be focusing all their attention in the domestic actions, which is definitely not music to the ears of every other premier league teams. The fact that they could potentially not play champions league football next season, focusing all their attention in domestic actions, automatically makes them huge favourites to win the premier league next season, if possible win yet another treble.

What do you think? - What are you expecting from Man City next season?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
