We are back again at home for another night of Champions league. All we can do now is turn up and hope for the best but that will not stop me from supporting United. We are coming into this match after a drab game of football against the struggling Crystal Palace, but this is the champions league! The players seem to turn up for this matches so I will be absolutely positive we get a great result effectively sealing qualification into the knock out stages.

Now, there is obviously the Jose lineup and the lineup I would love to see step out on the pitch today. Both are probably going to polar opposites but I would suggest that the team that steps onto that pitch would be fully capable of winning this match, surely.

I am expecting Jose to pull some blinders today. I am expecting the manager to start Smalling and Jones together. For some reason Bailly is in the dog house. Never on the bench until Lindeloff, who has not been really that great but the better option over Jones, got injured. For some unexplained reason Rojo is doing a Sturridge. I would have him over Jones and Smalling any day of the week.

I suspect Jose will let his ego have the better of him and we will see the likes of McTominay coming in for Pogba. That will be an absolute shock. I would also expect him to go for Young in the Right Back position over the more qualified Diogo Dalot.

Now he may as well prove me wrong and actually put in a great attacking side and this is what I would expect.

My Predicted Lineup

Personally, I would trust Lukaku to start this match. He is in his worst form at the moment and playing against lesser opposition he will definitely get chances to score especially with Dalot putting in wicked crosses.

I wouldn't be shocked if I saw Matic on the pitch. The man probably needs to fake an injury and he would still be played nevertheless.

What we need is an agile midfield. Perreira is very good on the ball and he has an eye for a pass like Carrick.

The other change I would have is Bailly in for Lindeloff but that would be the biggest surprise of day. It will probably be Phil Jones starting the match leaving a fully fit Bailly at home or probably on the bench just in case we need defensive reinforcement.

My Prediction

Well, while I was writing this part the Line up was released and there were no shockers at all. Just as I thought, Pogba will be dropped and Matic is still on the Pitch despite his woeful performances. In his stead we have Fellaini completing what is a static midfield with Fred the only source of speed and agility.

I can already see another drab game where the opponents take advantage of our static midfield with their fast paced wingers. This will be a match of few chances because there is practically nobody who can find a quick pass into the great forward line of Martial, Rashford and Lingard.

I am expecting a disjointed attack and midfield and Fred seemingly having a poor game and getting subbed. You can expect surely enough that we score a lucky goal probably off the head of Fellaini.

I am going with a drab 1-0 Manchester United. I sincerely hope I am completely wrong and we play Young Boys off the grass.
